My name is Elena Timofeeva.
I hold a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, however, designing dresses has always been my passion and my hobby, I have been fascinated with dressing up my dolls and fabricating intricate designs of their clothes back when I was just a little girl. I further enhanced my skills by taking a broad array of classes covering stitching, sewing and production techniques, which allowed me to improve my trade to the point where I was able to design clothes for myself, my kids and my friends.
I worked at a large alteration store for the past 8 years. This fascinating experience allowed me to further improve my skills as well as learn a number of aspects of the business itself. I especially excel in bridal gown alterations and found the atmosphere of the approaching wedding to be the most upbeat one. Being a part of such a positive experience and being able to contribute to the celebration brings inexpressible joy to my heart. That’s when I realized that wedding alterations are what I want, love, and was meant to do. I find it gratifying that I am the one the bride can lean on and help her look her very best on her special day. I know this may sound simplistic, but I am a people pleaser. I want brides to be happy. This realization was the driving factor in my decision to start my own business, where intimate customer care is my priority. Regular gown alterations aside, I provide emergency services as well. We all know how hectic it can get picking out just the right gown for you special day. I am here to assist the bride and her party if the dress is too short, too small, too big or simply isn’t the right fit or even the right design. By tweaking the existing gown, I can help the bride fall in love with her dress all over again, even if her perception of it has changed since the time it was purchased. Many years of experience taught me how to avoid or minimize such situations from occurring and how to change the style of the dress if necessary. More often than not my “magic touch” is enough.
I worked on the following brand name gowns: Anne Barge, Alfred Angelo, Lazaro, Allure Bridals, Casablanca, Demetrios, Essence of Australia, Mikaella, Marisa, Mori Lee, Vera Wang, Judd Waddell, Jasmine, Watters Brides, Paloma Blanca and many others.
